  • Device information: the manufacturer describes standard Oligio as a 6.78 MHz monopolar RF system with cooling, vibration and tips of different sizes.
  • Evidence: one uncontrolled study followed 30 people with mild-to-moderate lower-face laxity; it cannot predict an individual result.
  • Quote checks: confirm the full device name, treatment area, tip, shot count or other unit, and whether review visits and taxes are included.

What is Oligio?

Oligio is the name Wontech uses for a radiofrequency medical device. Its product page specifies 6.78 MHz monopolar RF. “Monopolar” describes how the system delivers energy; it does not promise a degree of lifting or a particular result. Manufacturer product information

The manufacturer also has separate pages for Oligio X and Oligio X M. When asking about a treatment, copy the full model from the device label and written plan. Do not assume that a feature, study result or price shown for one model applies to another. Oligio is not a generic term for every RF treatment, and it is not the same as focused ultrasound.

How the system and treatment tips are described

The manufacturer describes standard Oligio as a monopolar RF system with cooling spray and vibration. Its product page says a smaller tip is used for narrower areas and a regular tip for wider areas. These are manufacturer descriptions of device design; they do not show that every provider has every tip or establish which plan is suitable for you. Oligio product information

A written plan should state the treatment area, exact model and tip, and the proposed settings or shot count. “Oligio” or “facial tightening” alone is not enough to reproduce a treatment or compare quotes.

Consultation, treatment and time

One small clinical study used topical anaesthetic cream before treating the lower face. The manufacturer’s FAQ says anaesthesia is often not needed, while noting that the area, settings and individual circumstances can change the plan. Together, these sources show that protocols may differ; neither supports a blanket claim that everyone needs or can avoid anaesthesia. Study · Manufacturer FAQ

The manufacturer gives an approximate treatment time of 15–30 minutes and says it varies with shot count and area. This is its estimate for treatment itself, not necessarily the full appointment, which may also include consultation, preparation or observation. Ask the provider to distinguish the expected treatment time from the total visit.

What the evidence says about results and recovery

A 2022 prospective study enrolled 30 Thai adults aged 43–53 and examined mild-to-moderate lower-face laxity. After Oligio monopolar RF, it reported clinician-rated improvement during six months of follow-up. There was no control group, and both the sample and treatment area were limited. The study also disclosed device support and related fees. Its findings describe this study group; they do not promise the same change for an individual or establish results for other areas, protocols or models. Full study

The manufacturer says many people can return to daily activities soon after treatment, while noting individual and area differences. Its aftercare page lists possible temporary redness, warmth or sensitivity. In the study, 25 of 30 participants had immediate mild or moderate erythema that resolved within one or two days, and one had dryness. No complications were reported at some study follow-ups; a small study cannot establish zero risk or a general event rate. Manufacturer aftercare · Full study

Risks and limits of the evidence

Actual responses and risks need to be discussed in light of the device, area, settings, operator and a person’s health. The available Oligio study was small, uncontrolled and limited to a specific group and lower-face area. The manufacturer’s aftercare page does not provide adverse-event rates. These sources do not support a risk percentage for everyone or a comparison between Oligio and other RF devices.

The manufacturer page makes a statement about Korean regulatory clearance, but this article has not matched that claim to a regulator’s public record. It therefore does not state the clearance as independently verified. Product naming, local device authorisation, facility licensing and operator credentials are separate questions to check in the treatment destination.

Price and written quote

This page does not provide a verified Oligio market average. A quote may be based on shot count, area or a package. Compare prices only after aligning the complete model, tip, area, unit and included services. Ask whether assessment, review visits, taxes, anaesthesia or other supplies are included and how cancellation or additional treatment is handled.

The site’s single Oligio 600-shot price sample records one third-party listing; it is not a market average. Use the currency converter for an exchange estimate. If comparing Oligio with Thermage FLX or another brand, check each device and pricing unit separately; a quote alone does not show equivalent treatment or value.
